Little ASM, come blow your horn trumpet

Little ASM, come blow your horn trumpet
The composers are writing, the trumpeters are... wondering when in god's name they'll get their parts.
But where is the little boy who looks after the sheep?
Heck if I know, but ASM's got another show with FONT!
(Wait, sheep? What sheep? What the hell are we talking about?)

ASM World Premieres by the ne'er-do-wells Dr. Pat Muchmore, Andrea La Rose, Bradley Kemp and David Durst, featuring the trumpet artistry of e'er-do-wells Tim Bynes, Chris DiMeglio, Stephanie Richards and Kelly Rossum.

Thursday, January 14th, 2010: 630pm at the Studio Space of the Abrons Arts Center (466 Grand St at Grand & Pitt).

This is part of FONT (that's the Festival of New Trumpet Music) 2010's Forward Flight, celebrating eclectic trumpet music. Immediately after our set, you can hear the NY premiere of Charles Wuorinen's Brass Quintet performed by the the New York Trumpet Ensemble, directed by Mark Gould (730pm) and then the legendary Wilmer Wise will perform chamber music by Ornette Coleman (9pm). Crazy insane. The day pass ($15, $12 students) gets you into all three shows. There are also passes for the entire fesitval -- read more about the event here.
